In reply to your letter of the 21st June, forwarding a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong enclosing a copy of a Ordinance passed by the Legislature of Hong Kong to amend the Merchant Shipping Ordinances 1899-1913, I am directed by the Board of Trade to state, for the information of the Secretary of State, that they have no observations to offer on the ordinance,which appears to conform to the proposal in your letter of the 15th February to which the Board saw no objection.
